EMDR Pocket

Using EMDR Pocket safely

Take a moment to understand what the app can offer — and what it cannot replace.

A general wellness app

EMDR Pocket provides guided bilateral visual movement and paced breathing exercises intended for relaxation, refocusing, and self-regulation.

EMDR Pocket is not psychotherapy

In clinical care, EMDR is a psychotherapy delivered by a trained professional. The app does not recreate that care and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Before you begin

Settle somewhere quiet and stable. Do not use the app while driving, moving around, or doing anything that requires your full attention.

Pay attention to how you feel

You can stop a session at any time. Pause if you experience discomfort, dizziness, distress, or an emotion that feels difficult to contain.

When to seek support

If distress, intense anxiety, or traumatic memories persist, speak with a doctor, psychologist, or another qualified health professional.

In an emergency

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. If you are having thoughts of suicide, reach out to a crisis service in your country now.
